Course Masterplan Presentations

As mentioned in last week’s newsletter, Phil Tataurangi is conducting member presentations next week to gather feedback on our Draft Course Masterplan.

Phil will present a short, high-level overview of the plan.  Members will then have until Sunday 22 September to send in any feedback the below link.  Member feedback is important and will be considered by the Course Advisory Group when finalising the plan.

Each session is timed to be at the conclusion of the member competition of the day, so exact times are subject to the field being finished.  They will proceed regardless of the weather.  Anyone is welcome to attend any of the sessions.

Tuesday 10 September                      1:30pm
Wednesday 11 September                2:30pm
Thursday 12 September                    1pm
Saturday 14 September                     5pm

Thank you to all the volunteers that helped with the course maintenance during the week and a thanks to the ladies that provided the morning tea – great spread.

Don’t forget to put your names down for the Mexted & Jack Turner Trophies on the 29th September.  Lists are in the locker rooms.  Remember you can organize and play in your own four.  Your partner will be drawn on the day and we will combine your stableford points once the rounds are completed.  This day is sponsored by YOU Travel, Bethlehem.

Look forward to seeing you all there.

Due to the inclement weather the course was closed by the head greenkeeper with some greens flooded and unplayable, however at 12.30pm permission was given to those that agreed to play their match play. A few brave souls managed an uncomfortable 18 holes.

Stacey and Pagey have posted the draws up with progress on the champs

Big Shout out to all the members who played in the Friday Haggle we managed to raise $430 for daffodil Day. Great support for the raffle 150 tickets sold. Huge day well done to John Herder and his team.

A big thank you to Barry Mason who helped fix the rood on Swampy’s sleepout. Barry has given a lot of his valuable time to any roof issues we have had. Cheers Barry.

Volunteers, thank you to those members who registered on Monday at the toolbox attendance sheet. It would not be possible to carry out these projects for Nathan and his team. Your participation is truly appreciated. Thanks to: Ed Coop, John Keats. John Herder, Andrew Park, Breet Chatfield, Kevin Donald, Swampy, Colin Gee, Hugh Moleta, Andrew Lenny, Daryl Muir, Peter Kilpatrick, Mark Dodd, Bob Duckworth, Brian Page, Dave Ashton, George Griffin, Ian Howells. Well done to John Herder who for many years, has kept the mangroves under control. Cheers John.

A special mention to Kevin Donald, Daryl Muir and Colin Gee who have put in some long hours for coring week, cheers guys.

Footnote:
