Just a reminder that the course is closed for maintenance from Monday 2nd September to Friday  6th September.

Colin is looking for volunteers to help with the coring of green surrounds and tees, 10 – 15 volunteers would be ideal.  It would be for the Monday and Tuesday 8 am start.

I am looking for 5-6 people to help Swampy and myself around the clubhouse, work includes water blasting, cleaning, weed eating and a clean up of the rubbish holding area and washdown bay, again 8 am start for Monday and Tuesday.

Please let us know by Friday 30th August, morning tee is provided.

With the summer fast approaching and then Christmas not far away, also find below a list of events from now until the lead up to Christmas that I will be organizing:

  • 29th September                 Jack Turner & Mexted Trophies
  • 17th November                   Kaimai Tray (Omokoroa)
  • 30th November                   50-60s Rock n Roll night
  • 7th December                     Mens & Ladies Christmas Tournament

Please see the brochures below.  Entry sheets are in the locker rooms, please keep these dates free.

The Junior Matchplay finals will be played on Saturday afternoon 3pm start on the 10th tee.  It has been great to watch this field work its way through to the final players with some great golf along the way.  If you have time on Saturday please come along and support the juniors.

9 Hole Ladies
Yvonne Hoskins

This week in brilliant, sunny weather we played nett, putting and LGU.  There were some very good scores (nice to have plenty of "run" at this time of year).  Winners on the day were - Irene Hallam; Daisy Harrison; Rohanne Hancock; Jan Annabel; Jacqui Crossfield; Trish Frecklington; Debbie Hardaker; Astrid Martin and Lyn Bird.  Well done ladies.

Last Monday the final round of nine hole interclub was held at Omokoroa.  The weather left a bit to be desired - extremely windy, but no rain.  The winner for 2024 was Te Puke.

Good golfing everyone.......

Quads Results
On Monday a hardy team of 23 players played in extremely windy conditions at Omanu. The team finished a close fourth to Mt Maunganui with most players in all the teams competing struggling to score more than 30 points. Congratulations to Ian Hawke and David Ashton who were the top players in our team, both scoring 32 points. The final quads event for the year is at Omokoroa on the 7th October and with home advantage hopefully we can climb up the Leaderboard.
